Spring-loaded hinges that easily open and close heavy lids! A list of compatible standard flanges is introduced.

The "Cap Balancer" is installed by welding the upper hinge to the flange of the manhole cover and the lower hinge to the flange on the manhole body. If the welded parts of the cap balancer do not interfere with the manhole's tightening bolts, standard installation will be performed. However, if there is interference, adjustments such as extending the arm will be necessary. Additionally, if the arm is extended, the distance from the center of gravity of the manhole cover to the axis of the cap balancer shaft (the length of the arm) will increase, resulting in a greater torque required for opening and closing the cover. 【Method for Calculating Arm Length】 ■ Arm Length = Center of Gravity Distance + Installation Distance "Center of Gravity Distance": Half of the outer diameter of the cover flange (If the center of gravity is eccentric, calculations are necessary) "Installation Distance": Varies depending on the installation method of the cap balancer *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

The cap balancer is a spring-loaded hinge that utilizes the power of a spring to easily open and close heavy lids. The "Free Stop Type" allows the lid to be held in a wide range of open positions, enabling safer opening and closing operations. The Free Stop Type cap balancer achieves the ability to hold the lid in a wide open position by balancing the lid's torque with the spring's torque through a combination of a torsion coil spring and a unique link mechanism.
